Project Engineer




Edgar Plazola joined Insight Structural Engineers in 2005. He has provided structural engineering solutions for a wide variety of clients including hospitals, commercial office buildings, and seismic retrofits of various buildings in the Los Angeles area.

Recently, Edgar was the Project Engineer on mission critical facility upgrade projects for Kaiser Permanente, several structural repair and upgrade projects on USC’s main campus and Health Sciences Campus, the new Student Union at CSU Channel Islands campus and a new 28,000 square foot dormitory for the Salvation Army Crestmont College.

Edgar is an active voting member at the state and local Existing Buildings Committee of SEAOC and a Disaster Service Worker certified by CalEMA to to examine and tag buildings after an earthquake.
