• Truss repairs/strengthening, seismic retrofit, unreinforced masonry wall openings, new special moment frames, a new mezzanine and temporary shoring design within three existing historic buildings
• The challenges included doubling the span of eight existing trusses, removing two existing trusses at a new mezzanine, and removing interior columns without changing the roof profile or exterior appearance of the buildings
• All design work and permits needed to be obtained within 13 weeks
