• Critical infrastructure upgrades including to Building 230, which is JPL’s Spaceflight Operations Facility
• Per JPL’s web site, (ref. http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/events/pdf/2014-oh-visitor-guide-2014.pdf) data from all interplanetary spacecraft flows through Mission Control in the Space Flight Operations Facility (SFOF)
• NASA manages nearly all of its exploration of deep space, including exploration of other planets in our solar system from this facility
• In 1985, the SFOF was declared a National Historic Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places
